Cilicuka Very Hot (Level 2)
Cilicuka is based on Shermay's grandma's much-loved heirloom recipe, handed down over half a century. Fresh red chillies, bird's eye chillies (cili padi), garlic, and rice vinegar pack a tangy zing with a good level of heat. It has both flavour and heat.
Dollop or drizzle it onto kueh pie tee and popiah, or use as a dipping sauce for crackers (keropok), noodles, rice, and your favorite Asian fried savory snacks like fried chicken, spring rolls, fish balls, ngoh hiang, and more. Add a squeeze of lime for a natural citrusy zing! Cilicuka Very Hot combines 80% regular chilies with 20% chili padi (birds' eye chilies), offering both chili flavor and heat. It's the perfect dipping sauce for steamboat/hot pot and rich dishes such as pencai/poonchoi during the festive season of Chinese New Year. Sedap siah!
