Brilliant straw in colour, lifted passionfruit, green apple and lime aromas rise from the glass with subtle herbaceous gooseberry and citrus notes also evident. The Woodstock winery is located in McLaren Vale, just south of Adelaide. Owner Scott Collett sources his grapes from 18 hectares of vineyards, which include Shiraz vines that are up to 110 years old. While many see Australia as a 'New World' producer, these vineyards are a timely reminder of its long history of winemaking.
