Asian-inspired Grilled Dishes Are the Latest Addition to Katong Point Bistro’s Dinner Menu

Here's a taste of the new dinner menu at Katong Point.

In case you missed it, Little Farms Bistro at Katong Point has a brand new dinner menu! We’ve added an applewood-fired grill to the restaurant and we’re not afraid to show it off, as you’ll see from the addition of Asian-fusion grilled dishes to the menu. These are just some of Head Chef Ming Earn’s favourite things to cook, and we can’t recommend missing out. 

With over 25 years of experience under his belt, the talented chef brings dishes that pack a punch, as high quality ingredients meet creative cooking methods. I mean, the man invented his own method of smoking tamarind for the spicy dipping sauce served with the Thai-inspired BBQ Pork Neck. You can’t miss the savoury Prawn & Bourbon Bisque either — a labour of love as it involves prawn stock being boiled for a whopping five hours. 

Low and slow is the way to go, and time is a central ingredient throughout the menu. It’s something Chef Ming Earn has picked up from his stints in 5-star hotels like the Grand Hyatt, Maison Du Fontaine, Whitebait & Kale, and other fine dining concepts. The classically trained French chef definitely knows his way around modern European and Asian cooking — and you can get a taste in the new selection of small plates. 

His favourite from the menu? The fresh-tasting Cured Salmon Tartare, which comes served on grilled wawa cabbage with avocado wasabi and lumpfish roe. Good food tastes best when shared, and small plates like the Grilled Portobello Mushroom Bruschetta with beancurd skin and Smokey Tamarind Glazed Grilled Octopus will pair well with an ice-cold glass of beer, and the great conversations you’ll have with your loved ones at Little Farms Bistro.
