Meet the WineMakers: Joël & Maryse Lajonie from Chateau Gramboy

We are pleased to announce our upcoming Wine Tasting event at our Tanglin Mall and Katong Point stores on the 10th & 11th of January. Visit our stores and meet Joël & Maryse Lajonie from Chateau Gramboy, Bergerac France. Bergerac is in the South West part of France, neighbour to Bordeaux. It is also known for its very good countryside local food.

The LAJONIE family is making wine in the region for four generations, pursuing the tradition of work in the vineyard and wine making with great care. The estate is over 180 hectares which is the largest of the area.

The name of the Chateau: “Gramboy”, means “Big boy”. It is remaining names of English who were in this part of France for 3 centuries. The vineyards have a silicious soil & clay-like subsoil. Indulge in a diverse selection of their flavorful wines, ranging from Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé to Merlot—perfect for satisfying a variety of palates.
