Sushi Bake

Sushi bake is a delightful and easy-to-make dish that combines the flavors of sushi with the convenience of a casserole. Here's a basic sushi bake recipe:

Ingredients:

For the Sushi Rice:

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Sushi Bake:

  • 1 pound fresh sushi-grade fish (salmon, tuna, or crab), diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced avocados
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Nori (seaweed) strips for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Kuze Fuku Yuzu Miso Sauce

Prepare the Sushi Rice:

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

Cook the rice according to the package instructions.

While the rice is still warm, mix in the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Allow it to cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Sushi Bake Sauce:

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Adjust the Sriracha sauce to your desired level of spiciness.

Assemble the Sushi Bake:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Spread the sushi rice evenly in a baking dish.

Drizzle the sushi bake sauce over the rice and gently mix it in.

Layer the diced fish on top of the rice.

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through. Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking.

Garnish and Serve:

Remove the sushi bake from the oven.

Scatter the sliced cucumbers, avocados, green onions, and nori strips over the top.

Sprinkle sesame seeds for an added crunch and flavor.

Serve the sushi bake hot, either scooped onto plates or with nori sheets for wrapping. Add Kuze Fuku Yuzu Miso Sauce to add more flavour!
