Red Wine - Reserva
Vineyards:
All the grapes for this wine come from a selection of the different plots of the Finca El Estanque, a 60-hectare vineyard planted in 1980 that the winery owns in one of the best terroirs of Haro (Rioja Alta).
Vintage:
Manual. It began in mid-October for the Tempranillo variety and at the end of the month for the Graciano variety.
Elaboration:
Made in concrete tanks. After a light destemming and squeezing, the must macerates in contact with the skins. Fermentation at a controlled temperature of 30 ºC for thirteen days.
Breeding:
It remains for 24 months in French and American oak barrels. Refinement in the bottle for 12 months.
Food Match:
Perfect to accompany all kinds of roasted, stewed or grilled meats. Fine charcuterie, sirloins, game dishes and strong and cured cheeses.
Tasting Note:
Medium intensity cherry red color with a tile rim that denotes its aging in barrels. Aromas of ripe black fruit, toffee and balsamic, with light mineral notes. In the mouth it shows a good structure. It is fresh, with a silky, elegant palate and a long and persistent finish.
