Red Wine - Medoc

This cuvée of Château Haut Moulin, is in the honor of Baron François SUBLET. This important figure in the 17th century was secretary of state of the King of France; Louis XIII. He  has been successively minister  of finance, war, culture, fortification & communication. He worked closely with  the cardinal of Richelieu at the time of the famous musketeers. The coat of arms on  the label is the original one that his father received from the previous king Henry IV for good & loyal services for the kingdom of France. Their ancestors have been growing wine in the Bordeaux area for many generations. 

Terroir: Sandy Gravel.

Tasting Notes: A lovely wine offering a deep color and a slightly spicy bouquet with notes of red fruit. Lots of elegance and balance on the palate, with smooth, silky tannins. A good, complex, rounded and well balanced wine.

Matching With Food: A very well-balanced wine to be tried with a rib steak, a peppered steak or a grilled lamb chop. To be tasted between 16 & 18°C. 

Cellaring Potential: To be enjoyed after 5 years, or kept for up to 20 years.
