Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Château Magnan la Gaffelière is a red wine that leaves room for the fruit to express itself. The vines of the property, covering approximately 10 hectares in Saint-Emilion, have grown on sandy/clay soil and have benefited from conventional viticulture. This grand cru is a blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. For 12 months, the wine aged in oak barrels, 30% of which were new.
This Bordeaux wine, which benefits from the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, has a deep purple colour that is both deep and brilliant. It is a tasting wine that can accompany all types of meat, whether in sauce or grilled. It is also pleasant with cheese. On the nose, you will be charmed by a tasty blend of wild berries and black cherry combined with liquorice. On the palate, you will find this association mixing the freshness of the fruit and the lightness of the woodiness bringing a spicy touch.
