Baked Mont d'Or with Garlic and White Wine
Ingredients:
- 1 Mont d'Or Mini Aop Napiot
- 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup white wine (preferably from Jura)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Prepare Cheese: Remove the plastic wrap from the Mont d'Or and place it back in its wooden box. Make small incisions in the top of the cheese and insert the garlic slices.
- Add Wine: Pour the white wine over the top of the cheese, allowing it to seep into the incisions.
- Season: Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the top.
- Bake: Place the cheese (still in its wooden box) on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with crusty bread for dipping.
