Yellowfin Tuna in glass jar is the new line designed to emphasise “transparent” quality, as an alternative to traditional cans. It is produced with carefully selected raw materials and totally processed in Italy. It is characterized by tender, solid, light pink and low fat flesh.

Callipo Tuna Steaks are the only ones prepared with Iodized Salt Presal, which is “protected” as it is subject to a specific technological process maintaining iodine levels constant even after cooking and food preparations, ensuring its assimilation.

Callipo was establised by Giacinto Callipo back in 1913 in Pizzo, a beautiful city located in Calabria, historically known for tuna fishing and tonnare. Their company was the first in Calabria, and one of the first enterprises in Italy, to tin the precious tuna of the Mediterranean. Since its establishment, ‘Quality First’ has been the mission that they set out to pursue. Their efforts were recognised in 1926 when Callipo was awarded the License of 'Official Supplier' by the Real Casa.

106 years later, Callipo has never wavered from that principle. It is now a way of being that their business operates on, aware that it remains the secret to success.
