Ingredients
6 ounces (170g) semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup (8 Tbsp; 113g) unsalted butter
1/4 cup (31g) all-purpose flour (spooned & leveled)
1/2 cup (60g) confectioners’ sugar/ icing sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
2 large egg yolks
optional toppings: ice cream, berries, and/or chocolate syrup
Instructions

- Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C). Spray four 6-ounce ramekins or six muffin cups with nonstick spray and dust with cocoa powder.
- Microwave butter and chopped chocolate in 10-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners’ sugar or icing sugar, and salt. In another bowl, whisk eggs and yolks. Combine both mixtures with chocolate, stirring until smooth.
- Divide batter evenly into ramekins or muffin cups.
- Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 12–14 minutes (8–10 minutes for muffin cups) until edges are firm but centers are soft.
- Cool for 1 minute. Invert onto plates using oven mitts; cakes should release easily.
- Add toppings and serve immediately.
