One bag at a time
Here at Little Farms we are committed to offering you the freshest, healthiest and most delicious groceries from trusted farmers and artisans around the world. In order to do so, we have to care for the ultimate provider - mother earth. Giving back to the environment is of the utmost importance to the Little Farms Community.
Our goal is simple - reduce the amount of single use bags in our stores. Eventually, we would like to achieve 100% reusable bags across all our stores and throughout the whole Little Farms Community. We will do this one bag at a time.
In order to make this change there needs to be motivation - and we will approach this in a few ways.
Firstly, we will start charging for single use bags used at our stores effective 1 November, 2020 onwards. The total amount charged covers the cost of the bag, nothing more, nothing less. If you bring your own bag, you will not be charged - ever. Secondly, as a way to give back, if you purchase any of our reusable bags (Kind Bag, Ever Eco, Little Farms tote bag, etc.) we will donate $1 to AllClear (which helps to clean and rid the ocean and waterways of trash around Singapore).
Lastly, there is awareness, and we have compiled a list of great informational sources below. If you have any suggestions on how we can do better, please reach out and let us know.
