- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 package pie crusts (2 crusts)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and almond extract. Mix well and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the cherry mixture into the crust and dot with butter.
